Kawasaki's attempt to rival the RGV and NSR. Had many quality issues but if you were lucky and had a good one they were surprisingly quick. It was superceded by the KR-1S which offered some refinements. These bikes have a cult following and with so many that were blown up in the early years, finding good ones is now becoming quite difficult.
